Our South Turkey tours runs for 10 days/11 nights comprising of 2,700 kms (1,687 miles) starting in Antalya. We ride roughly 300 kms per day. We visit historical and cultural sites, riding along beautiful coastal roads with stunning views and stopping for Turkish tea in canyons and waterfalls. We check out the fairy chimney’s and caves in Cappadocia, have a paddle in the thermal baths at Pamukkale, meet the friendly locals and sample the delicious home cooked Turkish cuisine along the way.
Arrive at Antalya airport and we will organise your airport transfer to the Hotel. It’s roughly a 20 minute transfer time. At the hotel you will meet the other riders on the tour and the bike tour leader. You will have a short tour briefing covering everything you need to know about the tour and then enjoy a lovely evening dinner.
A free day in Antalya to explore and have a look round.
We pick up the motorbikes, fill in all the necessary paperwork and ride the bikes back to the hotel in Antalya ready for the next day.
Antalya to Alanya (approx 250kms)
After a good breakfast we depart from Antalya and ride to Alanya via mountain and coastal roads stopping off for lunch at a waterfall. We’ll then visit the historical seaside town Side (pronounced Sid Eh) for tea and a look round. On arrival in Alanya, we will stay overnight at a fantastic hotel which is walking distance to town. You will have a free evening to explore Alanya.
Alanya to Silifke (approx 285 kms)
We depart from Alanya and ride between the mountains and the sea and stop to visit a seaside Castle. After riding coastal roads we arrive in Silifke. We’ll visit the Caves of Heaven and Hell (as named by the locals!) before overnight at our hotel.
We will go to a local fishing town for a fantastic seafood dinner. There are other menu options if fish isn’t your thing!
Silifke to Karaman (approx 359 kms)
Today we leave behind the sea views and ride from Silifke to Karaman via twisty mountain roads to visit the old Alahan Monastery on top of the mountain. It’s one of the best clear views from the mountains. We have a short stop to look round and enjoy the view. After we carry on riding through mountain roads at a peak of over 200 metres before stopping in Karaman for our overnight stay. You are free to have dinner in the local town or at the hotel.
Karaman to Ürgüp (approx 390 kms)
We depart Karaman to ride on mountain roads to our lunch break at a trout farm. After lunch we head to the magical town of Ürgüp, and visit the famous Cappadocia fairy chimneys and caves where we are going to stay for 2 nights. Our small unique luxurious boutique hotel is built within the caves and is a sight to behold. Not only does it have amazing views over the fairy chimneys, it has a collection of over 1,000 records to listen to and you can unwind by the fire place after a long days ride. We will have dinner and drinks at the hotel later in the evening and make the most of this very special hotel.

This is your free day to relax and make the most of being in magical Cappadocia.
You can explore the area and fairy chimneys on foot, by bike, or by a hot air balloon for truly fantastic photos. (N.B. The balloon trip starts very early at 6am but highly recommended and worth it! Our balloon goes up first at sunset and then you watch the sun rise along with up to another 100 hot air balloons rising in the distance – a truly magical experience!!)
If the hot air balloon is not your thing, you may just want to explore the local town, experience a Turkish bath or chill out and relax at the beautiful cave hotel. Just let us know if you want us to book anything!!
Ürgüp to Konya (approx 345 kms)
We depart the beautiful Cappadocia at 9am and ride to our first stop to explore an underground city and caves and have Çay (Turkish tea) with the locals. Our next stop will be roughly a 45 min ride away for lunch on the river Turkish style! We’ll then head to Konya for our overnight stay. Konya is a very famous town in Turkey well known for its food and their whirling Dervishes performance known as the Mevlana. In the evening we will watch a fantastic live traditional Mevlana show.
Konya to Eğridir (approx 293 kms)
In the morning we will visit the Mevlana museum just opposite our hotel. We then jump on the bikes and head towards Eğirdir Lake and then to Beyşehir for our lunch break. We will ride by the lake on lots of twisty roads with amazing views, through small old villages where we will have a tea break with the locals. After tea, we’ll have approx 2 hours ride to Eğirdir for our overnight stay at our hotel by the lake with perfect views. You can have dinner in the town kebab restaurant with many different selections of traditional Turkish kebab.
Eğridir to Pamukkale (approx 240 kms)
Today we ride to see a unique lake of which there are only 2 in the world. The lake contains the same stones as the planet Mars and is also the highest lake above sea level in Turkey. After lunch by the lake we ride straight to the town of Pamukkale, famous for its natural hot spring baths. The hot springs are just what’s needed after a day’s ride! (N.B. The entrance fee for this is not included but if you’re not sure if you would like to go – check out our tour video on our website and this will help you decide!!) We then have a free evening to relax at our hotel which has its own thermal pool.
Pamukkale to Fethiye (approx 290 kms)
We depart from Pamukkale and head towards the mountains and stop for tea breaks. We then ride through twisty mountain roads to our lunch break in the pine forest. After lunch we ride to my home town of Fethiye, a beautiful town by the sea. After arriving at our hotel and having a little walk by the sea, we’ll have dinner in the local fish market with plenty of local delicious mezes to sample!
Fethiye to Antalya (approx 305 kms)
Our last day’s ride! Our first stop will be Saklikent Canyon to have a little look round and then head to the Lycian town of Myra, famous for the birth place of Father Christmas! We then ride our last coastal roads back to Antalya and our hotel.
Once the bikes have been returned with the usual inspection and paper work sorted, we have a fabulous evening celebrating our motorbike adventure tour of Turkey! You can drink and party as much as you like as we won’t be riding next day!!
